The Issue: When Family Law Falls Short

Right now, our family law doesn’t start from equality. Parents often have to go to court just to fight for what should be the norm: equal access to their children. The current situation is unfair and should be changed. We're here to campaign for a better way for children and parents.

An Outdated System

Imagine if equality was the expectation—and court was only needed when someone wanted something far more disproportionate. That’s the system we need. A system that starts from fairness, not conflict. The current system is outdated and needs reform. Every year, approximately 280,000 children in the UK experience parental separation, contributing to the 2.5 million separated families in Great Britain. This outdated system needs to put children first.

Fighting for Fairness

We know that children thrive when they have strong relationships with both parents. We're campaigning for a rebuttable presumption of equal parenting time in UK law. This means that, unless there's a good reason not to, children should have the right to spend equal time with both parents after a separation. We are trying to achieve equality in family law.
